I have no idea what Apple can or cannot do. Had upc WLAN in the house with amplifier and co. poor and slow reception. Since the switch to Asus Mesh in the whole house (2 floors) perfect reception.

Hello, this can also be done via an existing network... I assume that the same range must be used for the IP's of the mesh nodes. (Like the existing network...) I use these mesh points as Wifi APs.... all stations are connected with cable via existing network. (Cables laid per floor, 1 AP per floor ... )

I don't think it's ok either, but with many mesh routers it's like this, one is a main device with 2 Ethernet and the satellites only have one connection. This is not the case with TP-Link, each device is the same, i.e. if you buy a set of 3, you actually have 3 main devices. You then make one of them the master and the Internet connection goes in there, the others are simply integrated into the system. I think that's the better solution. If possible, I would return the Asus mesh router. The TP-Link Deco X60 solution is a bit more expensive, but has 2 x Ethernet on each device. TP-Link Deco X60 WiFi 6 Set of 3
