No, unfortunately not. I had the Lyra and was dissatisfied. Performance, range and options. I switched to Ubiquiti.
According to our own research, this is possible.
Yes you can. I did it at home, too.
If you use the Lyra as an AP, it is an "extension" of your router. You can then make all the settings that your router offers. I have a FritzBox and then a network of 4 Lyra as AP in use. You turn off the wifi on the router and your network name comes from the settings of the Lyra (so 2.4 and 5 GHz with one name). You set the shares such as Mac filters, time restrictions for children, etc. on your router. Works perfectly and without problems for me.
Hello Andy210779 I have used the mesh system with an Asus router or directly via WWZ modem. Unfortunately I did not manage to create a constant connection with 2 different wifi networks. I only used the Lyra after that. Since one of the Lyra repeaters was defective and the signal did not even reach the next room (no load-bearing wall), I sent the whole thing back. I'm sorry I can't give you a better answer that will help you solve the problem. Good luck and greetings

The devices must be approx. 3 metres apart, the routers cannot pass through walls. The radiation is about 30% from a UPC modem with WiFi. I have not found a setting to switch off the router. I would not buy the device again.
In this case, it makes sense to operate the unit in bridge mode.
Had the same problem. Firmware update of the Lyra helped (I think it was done via the app). For the update, it could alternatively help if the connect box is in router mode and the Lyra is connected directly to the network. The connect box should be in bridge mode when everything works.
Unfortunately, we do not yet have any further information from Asus regarding the launch of individual stations. As soon as we have information we will list the product.
I have Google WiFi at home myself, and so far I am very satisfied with the speed, performance and range. The Google system seems to be more mature and stable than the Asus Mesh, even if the hardware there seems better. https://youtu.be/qYrEi-HJSWw
Not at the moment but thanks for your request ;-)
