To answer your questions: 1. Compatibility with Arlo subscription and application: Arlo Pro 5 cameras are compatible with the Arlo Secure application, which allows you to manage all your cameras in a single application. This includes the Arlo Pro 4, so you can integrate both models into the same application. 2. Direct Wi-Fi connection: Yes, Arlo Pro 5 cameras connect directly to Wi-Fi. They support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, so you can choose the most stable band for your connection.

The battery of the Arlo Pro 5 lasts approximately four to six months, depending on the settings and usage. The official specification from Arlo is up to eight months, but this can vary depending on use.

It is not possible to store video directly to a NAS on the same Wi-Fi network when using the Arlo Pro 5 camera. The Arlo cameras support local storage via USB devices or microSD cards that need to be connected to specific base stations or SmartHubs, such as the VMB4000, VMB4500, VMB4540 or VMB5000. Direct storage on a NAS is not intended, as the Arlo systems are generally designed for cloud storage. However, if you want to store videos locally, you can manually download them from the cloud to your computer and then move them to a NAS. Alternatively, you can use the Arlo base stations with a USB device to enable local storage. There is currently no direct support from Arlo for automatic storage to a NAS.

Hello DukeX74 Unfortunately I don't know, as I only use Arlo cameras and have connected them directly to the WiFi network. I do not operate an Arlo base station.

Yes, you can set which cameras are displayed on the registered mobile devices in the Arlo Secure app. This can be done via different logins or user accounts. Each user can have access to specific cameras that are configured in their account. You can therefore create two separate user accounts to ensure that everyone only sees their own cameras. It is not necessary to buy two individual camera sets to achieve this.

The cameras can be connected to different Wi-Fi networks, but it is easier if all cameras are connected to the same network. However, if you want to use different networks, you can connect each camera individually to a different network. However, a 2.4 GHz network must be used during setup and you can also add a 5 GHz network afterwards.

These are the same cameras, only the number of cameras differs. This offer includes three cameras, whereas the article 46185779 only includes two.

Arlo's "Pro5 2K 4-Cam Security Camera" comes with brackets, including a magnetic mount and a screw kit for wall mounting. These cameras do not require a hub. You can connect them directly to your Wi-Fi network without the need for a hub. The Arlo Pro 5 cameras support dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and can connect directly to your Wi-Fi router. However, using an Arlo SmartHub or Base Station can add an extra layer of security and improve Wi-Fi traffic management, as well as potentially extending battery life.

Hello, to be honest I'm a bit disappointed with this camera. On the one hand, you can't set the camera to only record people, but all movements are recorded. On the other hand, the battery will never last 6-8 months. Unless you set the camera to stand-by non-stop. While one camera's battery went down to 40% within 10 days, the others are at around 80%. Also, the siren cannot be triggered automatically only for people, but for all movements, which is nonsense. So if the above options are important to you, stay away from this camera. Customer service is available, but not competent.

The Arlo Pro 5 security camera with the manufacturer ID VMC4260P requires an Arlo SmartHub to function. The SmartHub is used to connect wireless cameras to the Internet and does not work directly with Wi-Fi without it.
