A great product at a very fair price. BUT a device with professional standards, therefore no WLAN, but LAN therefore no battery, but power connection. For me, as an office jerk, you need an electrician to install the four cameras at a reasonable height, to install the four cameras at a reasonable height and to lay the LAN and power cables. What I wonder is: what's the point of the teasing camera if there's no Wi-Fi?

Can the camera be operated offline, completely isolated from the outside world, i.e. only in its own LAN network? Or does the camera need internet access so that it can send video material to Abus?

Thank you for your question. The camera does not necessarily have to be connected to the Internet. The video recordings can be saved on an SD card. The device can therefore be integrated into its own LAN or WLAN network, which is completely isolated from the outside world. In addition, the camera creates an autonomous W-LAN that can be accessed via smartphone or tablet. Note, however, that you can only access the live images and recordings via the "App2Cam Plus" app (smartphone/tablet). Can anyone tell me how long the mains cable supplied is and whether there is an extension for it? It's about 6-7 metres from the camera to the nearest power socket. Thank you for your support.

Hello One question: Why does the Abus PPIC42520 surveillance camera cost CHF 163.- at Digitec/Galaxus, while the same camera costs CHF 234.- at Brack? Is this due to the scope of delivery? If so, to what extent or what is included or not included with Digitec/Galaxus? Many thanks for your feedback & best regards

We have checked this with Brack and the article is the same and also has the same EAN and manufacturer number. Presumably our purchasing conditions are different for this item and this results in different sales prices.

Am I misunderstanding something? Professional use??! POE doesn't work for me, camera has no web gui? I can't even connect this thing to Surveillance Station??? I have never experienced this before! I can only control the camera with an app from Abus (App2Cam Plus), nothing else.... Very sad!! I would love to return this thing. Otherwise, the picture is very clear and crisp, even at night.

YES. It has a built-in siren which can be triggered manually.

I've had the camera for a few days now and am very satisfied... Only one thing is annoying... I haven't found a way to share the camera with anyone. Is this not possible at all or how should I proceed?

If the other person wants to have live access to the camera, they must also set up App2Cam on their smartphone. However, you can send or share the individual pictures or videos without further ado.

Hello The following questions: - The camera is still available completely black. When will it be on sale? - The camera is to be connected to our home via WLAN. The nearest power socket is about 10m away. The cable to be ordered is only for indoor use. However, the main part of the cable has to be laid in empty conduits outside. Is there a solution for my situation? Many thanks

Does anyone know how the motion detection works? The old models reacted to pixel changes. This triggers permanently. Infrared would be better.

This is also the case - but nir reports if the AI can also recognise something (human or animal). Is about 90% accurate with me
