The included activated carbon is made from crushed and activated coconut shells and is an essential component for successfully filtering odors. With the perfect combination of mesh size and activated carbon activity, this filter is capable of achieving long-term effective cleaning performance. Depending on the usage of the range hood, the filter may no longer absorb odors after 6 to 12 months and should be replaced. Due to the airtight packaging, the filters do not need to be installed immediately upon purchase. The replacement filters are compatible with all Bora Basic models, including BIU, BHU, and BFIU.
