The TC Extender 2001 ETH-2S from Phoenix Contact is a second-generation unmanaged Ethernet extender specifically designed for industrial applications. It enables the transmission of Ethernet data over existing copper lines and supports point-to-point connections as well as line and ring structures. With a maximum data rate of up to 30 MBit/s and a range of up to 20 km, this extender is ideal for expanding networks in industrial environments. Diagnostic options via USB and LEDs facilitate monitoring and troubleshooting. The extender is equipped with two SHDSL ports and one LAN port, allowing for flexible integration into existing systems. It is not suitable for use in the public telephone network but is optimized for operational 2- and 4-wire lines.
