EC series overload switches from Phoenix are designed for electronic devices. They feature a combination of active electronic current limiting in the event of a short-circuit and overload disconnection, allowing the overload switch to respond to overloads faster than traditional switch-mode power supplies. These switches provide selective protection for all 24 V dc load circuits of switch-mode power supplies, with the residual current always limited to 1.3 to 1.8 times the rated current.
