EC series overload switches from Phoenix are designed for electronic devices. A combination of active electronic current limiting in the event of a short circuit and overload disconnection ensures that the overload switch can respond to overloads faster than the switch-mode power supply. It provides selective protection for all 24 V dc load circuits of switch-mode power supplies. The residual current is always limited to 1.3 to 1.8 times the rated current.
