PESOLA MFT Scale

Suitable for myofunctional therapy (MFT). Equipped with a special hanging loop that prevents the cord from accidentally detaching, as well as with recoil damping and a tracking pointer (plus 1 spare) for reading the maximum generated holding force. Developed and tested in collaboration with speech therapists. Accurate handheld spring scale with a robust, anodized, and abrasion-resistant aluminum tube, along with a long precision scale with high resolution. Features a tare and zero-setting device, as well as a rotatable and swiveling suspension hook. Always ready for use, without batteries. A proven Swiss quality product from the world market leader.

Quick guide:

• Attach a button with a closed thread loop approximately 10 cm long (20 cm of thread).
• Hang the thread loop into the hook at the bottom of the scale, ensuring the rounded side of the button faces the scale.
• Adjust the zero point with the adjusting screw while holding the scale horizontally.
• Push the white tracking pointer back to zero.
• The patient holds the button with their lips in front of their incisors.
• Briefly instruct the patient to exert maximum lip closure force just before the measurement.
• The speech therapist pulls the scale horizontally away from the patient's mouth at a constant speed until the button pops out.
• Read and document the maximum holding value on the tracking pointer.
• Perform the measurement 3 times and calculate the average. This allows for periodic monitoring of muscle training progress.

Easy cleaning: Only with a damp cloth. Avoid contact with chemicals.

Permitted sterilization methods for PESOLA spring scales: 15 hours in acetylene.
