The Porro prism binoculars of the S-Series feature an objective lens diameter greater than 40 mm. Equipped with the same high-quality coatings as the A-Series, impeccable image quality is guaranteed. A hallmark of this series is the high light intensity due to the large objective lens diameter. Optimal light transmission is one of the most important aspects for the viewing quality of binoculars. This is also the focus of the new technologies for the current PENTAX Sport Optics series. The Full Multi-Coating on all lenses is considered the new standard coating. It enhances light transmission and contrast while minimizing reflections and providing excellent color fidelity. Multi-coating on all lenses, Enhanced Light Transmission coating, internal focusing, water-repellent coating on the outer lenses, waterproof (JIS 6 classification), nitrogen filling, continuous rubber armoring for protection and secure grip, magnesium/aluminum housing, aspherical lens element.
