Ideal for the great outdoors: The DCF ED series is also tough and durable. The magnesium housing makes the binoculars lightweight, while the rubber armor provides excellent protection against impacts. Additionally, the binoculars are well protected against moisture. The DCF ED series binoculars have a JIS 6 classification, meaning they are waterproof up to 1 meter. This is achieved by sealing them with double O-rings and filling them with nitrogen. Another special feature of these binoculars is the particularly scratch-resistant coating on the objective lens, which offers optimal protection for the front lenses.
