The RJ45 patch cables contain 2 plastic optical fibers (POF). These fibers are bent 180° in the two connectors. Light is injected from one side into the fibers using a light tool (PATCHLIGHT or PRO-PATCHLIGHT), and you can immediately see the two light points at the respective other cable end. This can be done without having to unplug the cable during operation. The light tool (PATCHLIGHT or PRO-PATCHLIGHT) is simply placed on the grommet from behind. The light injection does not affect the data transmission of the cable and is only for signaling. Halogen-free sheath. Unlike conventional PVC cables, these cables are halogen-free: the dangerous release of halogenated combustion gases is thus excluded, and smoke generation is minimized. Halogen-free cables are also flame-retardant and do not exhibit a dangerous ignition cord effect. Category 6A. Category 6 augmented (Cat 6A) is a standard that arises from the increased bandwidth requirements of 10-Gigabit Ethernet (10 GBASE-T). Cat 6A cables are designed for transmission frequencies up to 500 MHz and distances up to 100 m, and are backward compatible with existing categories.
