The passive infrared sensor is designed for installation in an electrical box with a diameter of 60 mm. The detector is used for the automatic control of building lighting or other electrical devices upon detecting movement near its installation location. The core of the device is a passive IR sensor with a motion detection angle of approximately 160 degrees. The motion detection is based on the principle of measuring temperature changes in the environment of the detector's assigned field of view, caused by a person present there. When the PIR sensor detects movement, the lighting automatically turns on or another electrically controlled device and remains on until the motion sensor detects presence in its field of view. If no external presence is detected within the user-set time, the lighting or another electrical device is automatically turned off.
