To use the presence and motion detector, you need an Olympia alarm system from the Protect or ProHome series. When a movement is detected, the sensor sends a signal to the alarm system via radio, triggering an alarm. The device is battery-operated. Since three AA batteries are included in the package, you can use the device immediately. In standby mode, the batteries can last up to a year. When the battery charge is running low, the base station issues a warning. This ensures that you can always be confident that the device is functioning properly.
