The CS-174 is an outstanding center speaker that is ideal for surround systems paired with the three-way floorstanding speakers nuLine 264, nuLine 284, or nuLine 334. Despite its low cabinet height and relatively small yet extremely powerful 12-centimeter long-stroke woofer, the CS-174 delivers surprisingly deep bass reproduction and boasts an impressive power handling of 230 watts. Listeners seated to the side also benefit from its tonal homogeneity and wide horizontal dispersion. To ensure that the rear sound components of the woofers and midrange drivers do not interfere with each other, the mid/high-frequency driver has been integrated into its own acoustically precisely tuned inner enclosure. This high level of construction effort results in a total weight of 18 kilograms and is reflected in a very high precision of the sound image, which remains intact even at the highest dynamic peaks.
