It detects on a horizontal plane with an opening angle of 5 degrees, ensuring that smaller animals are not detected. Installation is particularly suited for entryways, hallways, stairwells, restrooms, garages, and more. The dimensions are designed for installation in a standard flush-mounted box. Integrated hand switch. The hand switch, hidden in the upper part of the housing and barely visible, is a special feature of this sensor. The standard light switch function (on/off) as well as the automatic function can be set using the hand switch. Relevant movements are detected using a PIR sensor. The sensor with PIR technology - PIR stands for passive infrared - reacts to minimal local temperature changes, which it perceives as infrared light with a specific wavelength. This allows it to register people, vehicles, and animals entering the detection area while ignoring swirling leaves or moving branches. It also does not take into account fluctuations in general temperature, such as those caused by sunlight.
