This generation of Netgear's PoE/PoE+ switches offers powerful L2 and L2+ features, improved PoE capabilities, and enhanced performance and usability. All devices are designed with converged networks in mind, where video, voice, and general data are transported over the same network infrastructure. The main focus is on transmission efficiency, easy management, and low maintenance costs. The GS728TP switch is a Gigabit PoE/PoE+ product that provides PoE on all ports. Additionally, it supports PoE+ on the first eight ports with a power budget of up to 30 watts, allowing it to power existing PoE devices downstream or newer PoE+ devices with higher power requirements.
