The switch protects the network against DoS attacks (Denial of Service) and prevents network loops. Power over Ethernet (PoE). With Power over Ethernet, you can power compatible devices over the network cable. The IEEE 802.3at standard provides a maximum of 25.4 watts of power on each PoE port with a voltage of up to 50 volts. The standard assumes that after line losses, 21.90 watts of usable power remain or may be drawn to avoid exceeding the maximum power output. For PoE, a Cat5e/6 cable with a maximum length of 100 m is recommended.
