The Swiss Army acquired the HS 3-14 HA from the newly introduced truck program in 1961 in two large batches. In 1964, over 200 vehicles were delivered to the troops. By the end of the 1960s, a merger occurred with Hanomag-Henschel, with a majority stake held by Daimler Benz. As a result, the distinctive Henschel star on the radiator grille was removed. In 1970, the Swiss Army received an additional 360 units, which featured the new Henschel logo in the upper third of the grille. The model represents a version from this era.
