Moxa MGATE 4101-MB-PBS - 1-port Modbus RTU/ASCII-to-PROFIBUS slave gateways

The MGate 4101-MB-PBS gateway provides a communication portal between PROFIBUS PLCs (e.g. Siemens S7-400 and S7-300 PLCs) and Modbus devices. With the QuickLink function, I/O mapping can be carried out within a few minutes. All models are protected by a robust metal housing, can be mounted on a DIN rail and offer optional integrated optical isolation.

QuickLink and Windows utilities for easy setup and traffic monitoring
The QuickLink Windows utility uses a serial console port to connect to the MGate 4101-MB-PBS, making configuration and operation as simple as possible. QuickLink can complete configuration in just minutes by passively recognising Modbus requests with the AutoLearning function and error-free I/O mapping with the AutoMapping function. QuickLink drastically reduces the time for Modbus-to-PROFIBUS integration compared to traditional I/O mapping, which can easily take days. In addition, embedded monitoring tools can keep logs of Modbus communication packets and help with troubleshooting.

Redundant current inputs
The MGate 4101-MB-PBS has two current inputs for increased reliability. The power inputs allow simultaneous connection to 2 live DC power sources, ensuring continuous operation even if one power source fails. The increased reliability makes these advanced Modbus-to-PROFIBUS gateways ideal for demanding industrial applications.

Relay output warning
A relay output is provided for the status of the current input. The relay output provides maintenance technicians with an additional tool for troubleshooting and maintenance.
