Product details

The history of the second Polish destroyer (then called anti-torpedo boats), the ORP ship "Burza," began with its keel laying on November 1, 1927, at the "Chantries Naval Francais" shipyard. "Burza" appeared in Gdynia on August 19, 1939. It was in service and trained new generations of sailors and officers. Additionally, it conducted visits and exercises as well as numerous foreign trips. On August 30, 1939, at 12:30 PM, the ship's commander, Commander Nahorski, opened the sealed envelope after receiving three radio signals from Beijing. The order recommended an immediate departure from Polish territorial waters and to proceed to England along with the destroyers "Grom" and "Lightning." On September 1, 1939, at 5:30 PM, the ships reached the port of Leith.
