Product details

The ORP "Grom" was ordered and built at the British shipyard J. Samuel White & Co Ltd in Cowes, Great Britain. The keel was laid on July 17, 1935, the ship was launched on July 20, 1936, and the flag was raised on May 11, 1937. The destroyer Grom and its sister ship "Błyskawica" were intended to support the "Wicher" destroyers built in French shipyards and serve as the core of the navy of the Second Polish Republic.
