RBGESP - Gigabit Ethernet Surge Protector in Waterproof IP68 Housing
You can't buy safety, but you can purchase an RBGESP surge protector to keep your setup secure. The RBGESP is a Gigabit Ethernet surge protector that safeguards your network from lightning or surge damage.
A typical use case might look like this: you have a mast with several antennas and switches at the base. Install the GESP surge protection devices at each end. They come sealed in a new and improved weatherproof IP68 housing. Your antennas are now safe during a thunderstorm.
Don't forget the grounding cable! Attach it to the rack, the mast, or another structure that is connected to the ground. For maximum protection, you should use surge protection at both ends of long cables.
The GESP units can typically absorb multiple surges. However, check their condition after each surge. For mounting GESP units, we recommend using PVC cable ties (but not too tightly).
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. This small investment can save you a lot of time and money. So why take the risk? Grab a GESP for added safety!
