To expand its product line of enclosed DC/DC converters, MEAN WELL offers the RSD series power supplies, which meet a variety of different requirements for vehicle applications, now available in output power of 300 watts. The RSD-300 series features a 2:1 input voltage range. The RSD series power supplies provide 4000 VDC input/output isolation, 5G vibration resistance, an operating temperature range of -40 to +70 °C, and a low 1U profile (25 mm). Additionally, they come equipped with built-in constant current limiting and protection features against overload, short circuit, overvoltage, and reverse polarity. With their highly efficient circuit design, the MEAN WELL RSD series achieves an efficiency of up to 93%. All RSD converters are semi-encapsulated and can operate without forced cooling in ambient temperatures ranging from -40 °C to +70 °C, making them well-suited for harsh environments with high or low temperatures, dust, and moisture. The design of the MEAN WELL RSD converters complies with ITE standards (IEC60950-1 and EN55032) and railway application standards (EN50155, EN45545-2, and IEC60571), making them suitable for all types of vehicle applications, including railways, subways, buses, recreational trailers, ships, etc. For applications requiring double insulation, voltage stability, and industrial installations such as security systems, DC UPS systems, and telecommunications equipment, the MEAN WELL RSD series converters also meet the requirements perfectly.
