Product details
You decide how to cut. A safety knife that also performs as a utility knife? The new SECUBASE 383 can do both. Your cutting tool is initially equipped with an automatic blade retraction feature to prevent cutting injuries. However, certain cutting applications are better handled with a fixed blade, including sawing. For this purpose, you can optionally lock the blade in seven different positions, allowing for efficient work.
Base material: Glass fiber reinforced plastic
Long blade extension: "Long" is actually an understatement: the blade extension reaches a maximum of 7.8 cm. With the SECUBASE 383, you can effortlessly cut through 4-layer cartons, bagged goods, paper sheets and rolls, construction foam, and Styrofoam boards safely.
Locking and retraction: If you want to use your SECUBASE 383 as a utility knife, you can choose from seven settings (cutting depths from 7 to 73 mm). After that, simply release the lock – and the blade retracts as usual.
Ergonomic handle: To protect your hand, the SECUBASE 383 is designed with a consistent ergonomic shape. The slightly contoured handle feels very comfortable. Another testament to this is the slider, which can be moved particularly easily thanks to the ramp.
For right and left-handed users: The SECUBASE 383 is initially designed for right-handed users. As a left-handed user, simply rotate the blade 180° – and you’re ready to go. You can operate the slider and locking mechanism with your thumb.
Easy blade change: To access the long, flexible blade, use the blue blade change button at the end of the handle. You can now pull out the inner part, including the slider. The blade is held in position by two magnets.
