The MCE385 sensor is ideal for use in the garden, around the house or terrace, at the gate, in passages, hallways, basements, storage rooms, garages, and other places where lighting or other devices should be turned on when motion is detected. The sensor detects both day and night (twilight sensor) and turns on or off depending on the presence of an object within its detection range. A detection angle of 120° and a detection distance of up to 12 meters allow for effective monitoring of a large area.

The main purpose of the featured sensor is the automatic control of lighting, but it is also possible to connect other electrical devices (e.g., electric heaters, air conditioners, etc.), provided that the energy receiver does not overload the switch with a power of more than 1200 W (resistive load) or 600 W (inductive load). Versatile use to control the lighting of various objects:

• Facades of residential buildings, yards, entrances, gates, garden landscaping
• Parking lots
• Exterior walls of buildings and other architectural structures
• Billboards and advertising posters, shop windows
• Many other objects, including interiors

The device can be operated both at night and during the day. The TIME knob sets the lighting duration (from about 10 seconds to 15 minutes). The LUX knob adjusts the sensitivity to ambient light (range from 3 to 2000 LUX). If the ambient light is insufficient and you want the device to work both day and night, set the knob to the daytime position (sun symbol).
