Accepted answer
Ein Betrieb im Client-Mode als reiner Access Point ist natürlich möglich. Allerdings ist dann - wie in einer Bewertung von mir schon erwähnt - das Seamless Roaming nicht mehr möglich, das funktioniert nur im Repeater-Modus. Das Deaktivieren der LEDs ist soweit ich das beurteilen kann nicht möglich, zumindest finde ich im Web-Interface des Gerätes keine diesbezügliche Einstellungen.

Ich habe ein Home-Netzwerk welches seamless roaming mit LinkSys-Komponenten anbieten soll, es gibt 3 LAN-APs und 3 Extender (alle wie benötigt mit gleicher SSID und security settings und dem 802.11r - Protokoll aktiviert).
Allerdings müssen ja auch die Clients diese Protokoll unterstützen, das hängt dann vom Modell, dem Netzwerk-Interface und den Treibern ab - muss man für iOS, Android, Windows,
