This 10 Gigabit SFP transceiver supports connection lengths of up to 20 km over OS2 single-mode fiber (SMF) with an LC simplex connector. This 10Gbit BiDi SFP transceiver enables data transmission over a single fiber, with communication between two transceivers always functioning with different wavelengths. One transceiver sends on one wavelength, which the other side must receive, and vice versa. Digital diagnostics can be accessed via the I2C interface according to SFF-8472, allowing real-time access to operational parameters.
