LevelOne GVT-2010: Media Converter RJ45-SFP

The GVT-2010 10/100/1000Mbps adaptive Gigabit Ethernet media converter utilizes switching technology for media conversion. It complies with the standards IEEE802.3, IEEE802.3u, IEEE802.3z, and IEEE802.3ab. Currently, it supports two types of media network connections: 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T and 1000Base-SX/LX, converting electrical signals from 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T twisted pairs into optical signals of 1000Base-SX/LX. It extends the transmission distance of the network from 100 meters over copper cables to 100 kilometers over fiber optic cables.

The GVT-2010 supports the 802.3at/af PoE-PD function. It can draw power through a UTP cable connected to a PoE-PSE switch or mid-span injector. This feature makes the GVT-2010 ideal for remote areas of a network without power outlets.
