The FVT-2002 MMF ST media converter is capable of converting network signals between copper and fiber-based networks. The converter features a 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 port, supports both Full Duplex and Half Duplex connections, and includes automatic detection for 10Base-T and 100Base-TX. In multimode with fiber optic cables, it can extend the range of a network up to 2 km.
The device includes integrated DIP switches for easy configuration of the converter and operates with Smart LFP (Link Fault Pass-through), which allows the converter to monitor both the fiber and copper ports for signal loss, as well as manage the transmission method of the converter and the auto-negotiation mode to adjust copper speed and Full and Half Duplex modes.
The FVT-2002 operates at temperatures ranging from -10° to 55° Celsius. The converter can be used as a standalone unit or as a plug-in module for the CHV-2000 19” converter chassis, which accommodates up to 14 units that can be installed in a central wiring cabinet.
