The DX3 AFDD fire protection switch from Legrand is an innovative device combination that integrates both an Arc Fault Detection Device (AFDD) and a Circuit Breaker (MCB). This switch, which is single-pole protected and double-pole switched, offers comprehensive protection against various fault conditions, including overload, short circuit, as well as parallel and series arc faults. The switch complies with the standards EN 62606, VDE 0665-10, and EN 60898-1 and is designed for use in 230 VAC networks with a rated frequency of 50 Hz. With a clear switching position indicator and an LED status display, the DX3 allows for easy monitoring of operational status. The self-monitoring feature of the AFDD unit, through a daily internal self-test, provides additional safety. The fire protection switch can be easily mounted on a DIN rail and offers the option to attach auxiliary devices, making it a flexible solution for various applications.
