Product details
The Lancom Systems SFP-DAC10-3M is a high-quality InfiniBand Direct Attach Copper cable designed for reliable data centers and high-performance computing applications. This 3-meter long black cable features SFP+ connectors at both ends, offering a cost-effective alternative to optical transceivers while maintaining excellent signal integrity. The precision-engineered copper conductors and robust shielding ensure minimal signal attenuation and electromagnetic interference. The passive DAC cable supports transmission rates of up to 10 Gbps per lane and is suitable for InfiniBand QDR and SDR as well as 10 Gigabit Ethernet. With a durable PVC jacket designed for operating temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 70 °C, it delivers consistent performance in demanding server rooms and data centers. The compact SFP+ connectors with secure locking provide reliable connections, while the flexible cable design allows for easy installation in dense rack configurations. The InfiniBand cable is backward compatible with SDR and DDR InfiniBand systems and can also be used for 10GbE SFP+ applications, provided it is supported by the network equipment. The 3-meter length offers optimal flexibility for connecting adjacent rack-mounted servers, switches, and storage systems without complex cable management. Each cable undergoes extensive testing to comply with InfiniBand Trade Association specifications and ensure reliable operation in high-availability environments. The black color coding aids in cable identification and organization within complex network infrastructures. This Direct Attach Copper solution eliminates the need for separate transceivers, reduces system costs and power consumption, and provides a plug-and-play connection option for short-range applications in data centers and high-performance computing clusters.
