Klubschule Migros Adobe Photoshop Basics

Adobe Photoshop is the tool used by photographers and prepress professionals for editing digital images. In the Adobe Photoshop Basics course, you will learn the fundamental functions of image editing and the most common image formats. You will be able to prepare digital images for print or optimize them for use on the internet.

Content:
• Familiarize yourself with the workspace and tools in Photoshop
• Install and apply graphic standards profiles/settings
• Determine image cropping and resolution
• Edit photos
• Isolate image content
• Create photo montages
• Use text
• Prepare images for further processing

Prerequisites:
You should already have experience with Photoshop and other application programs. If not, we recommend the course Image Editing with Adobe Photoshop Elements. Computers and software in the classroom are provided by Migros Club School. The software license for home use is not included in the course fee. The course language is German.

Learning Objectives:
After this course, you will be able to edit photos professionally. You will know the key technical terms such as resolution, image size, color depth, as well as various image formats and their main properties and applications. You will be familiar with different selection techniques to edit or isolate content. Creating simple photo montages will also be part of your skill set. You will understand how to work with layers.
