The flexible RamCAT6 cable RC6EE for data transmission in mobile applications is designed for frequencies up to 500 MHz and transmission rates of up to 10 GB/s. It is primarily used in the Ethernet standards 1000BaseT and 10GBase-T in drag chains and on cable drums. The four individual pairs, which are mandatory for CAT6, are twisted together in matched lay lengths, and the sophisticated overall twisting with a PE twisting element ensures extremely high NEXT (near-end crosstalk) and FEXT (far-end crosstalk) values. The RC6EE has a precisely defined characteristic impedance of 100 Ω, and the four pairs consist of finely stranded copper wires (19 x 0.10 mm). The cross-shaped PE twisting element makes it resistant to foot traffic and suitable for mobile use, while the abrasion-resistant PUR jacket provides durability, and the double shielding effectively protects against electromagnetic interference.
