Due to its light weight and insulating properties, the polystyrene box is ideal for shipping and transporting chilled or frozen products. The shipping time depends on the number and performance of the cooling batteries used. e insulated box also impresses in terms of sustainability: while conventional polystyrene is produced from fossil raw materials, the manufacturer uses 100% biomass-balanced resources such as bio-oil and bio-gas from organic waste. As the production steps are the same, e sustainable insulating box has the same thermal and mechanical properties as conventional polystyrene packaging - but with 75% less CO₂ emissions.
