Product details

Compact, pluggable Plus transceivers (SFP+) for directly connected copper cables, also known as Twinax cables, are suitable for connections within racks between servers and switches. They are designed for short distances of up to 7 meters, making them ideal for cost-effective network connections within a rack and between adjacent racks.

The EX series switches support SFP+ passive direct attach cables. The passive Twinax cable is a straight cable without active electronic components. The EX series switches support SFP+ passive direct attach cables in lengths of 1 m, 3 m, 5 m, and 7 m.

The cables are hot-swappable and hot-pluggable: you can remove and replace them without turning off the switch or disrupting the switch's functions. A cable consists of a low-voltage cable assembly that plugs directly into two SFP+ ports at each end of the cable. The cables utilize high-performance integrated duplex serial data connections for bidirectional communication and are designed for data rates of up to 10 Gbps.
