Product details
Designed for summit tours and tested on Mont Blanc: The Mountaineer 42 has been specifically developed by Jack Wolfskin for the mountains, in close collaboration with the Innsbruck Alpine School. Everything about this professional mountaineering backpack is tailored for alpine excursions, from its sleek design to its extensive features. The main compartment and lid pocket of the Mountaineer are waterproof and seam-sealed - the main compartment also has a roll closure, while the lid pocket features a waterproof zipper. This ensures that all your gear stays dry when the weather suddenly changes. If you're in the mood for a lightweight tour, the mountain expert can quickly transform into a soft pack. Simply remove the frame, take off the lid pocket, side compression straps, hip belt, and chest strap, and the Mountaineer becomes significantly lighter. An extra robust bottom compartment has been attached outside the pack bag, where you can store your crampons and other sharp-edged equipment. It is safely stowed away in the reinforced flap while on the move. The Ergo X-Transition carrying system provides relief and support during active use in the terrain, and the shoulder straps adapt to the ergonomics and movements of the body. The reduced contact area ensures good ventilation, allowing the wearer to keep a cool head even on hot days.
