Product Description: 1:35 LCVP with US Infantry

The model is a replica of the LCVP, including US Infantry. The LCVP (Landing Craft, Vehicle and Personnel) was developed by Higgins Industries from New Orleans based on a flat-bottom boat used in the swamps of Louisiana and participated in all major amphibious operations of World War II in Europe and the Pacific. Its role was to shuttle between large ships and the beaches, transporting up to thirty men, light vehicles, and everything else that was needed. After the end of World War II, the LCVP remained in service and took on a variety of roles. The LCVP was used in Korea and Indochina and was also adapted for civilian use around the world.
