Art. No.: 510006008 Art. Description: 1:72 French Hussars 1st Regiment. The model is a representation of French Hussars. The term "Hussar" refers to light cavalry and originates from the Hungarian "Huszar." The most famous hussar units were the French regiments of the Napoleonic era. They were used for reconnaissance and communication purposes, as well as to monitor the movements of the Emperor's corps, such as during the advance that allowed the French to flank Austrian General Mack in Ulm in 1805. The soldiers in this attire wear the uniform of the 1st Hussars in 1806 at Jena and are distinguished by their richly decorated Hungarian uniform, sabretache, saber, and carbine.
