The Intellinet Network Solutions Fast Ethernet Media Converter is specifically designed to enable network planners to integrate copper cable connections into a fiber optic network. This allows for the integration or expansion of the existing network with minimal cost and effort. Since the converter is fully network-transparent, the network continues to operate in the same way – now supporting both copper and fiber optic media.

Expands an existing network: With the fiber optic connection, even remote workgroups can be integrated into the network. This enables building-to-building connections without additional routers, saving time and costs.

Increases the range between network devices: By connecting to a fiber optic segment, the distance between remote network nodes can be extended.
