Product details
The Gigabit PoE Extender is designed to double the range of a Gigabit Power over Ethernet connection. The Intellinet Network Solutions 4-Port Gigabit Ultra PoE Extender extends the connection distance from a PoE source to four output devices by up to 100 meters over Cat5e or Cat6 cables. This PoE extender does not require an additional power supply, as it draws its power from the PoE input.
Lower cabling costs are a significant advantage of this Ultra PoE extender, as it helps avoid the expenses associated with running AC power lines for a wireless access point, a network camera, or an IP phone. Simply connect the PoE extender to the LAN switch port using existing Cat5e/6/6a cables to deliver DC power and transmit data.
The Intellinet Network Solutions 4-Port Gigabit Ultra PoE Extender complies with the Power over Ethernet 802.3bt standard and supports the IEEE 802.3bt protocol over four pairs (4PPoE), allowing for a power consumption of 90 watts. It forwards data at Gigabit speeds and provides up to 30 watts per port for connected devices that meet the IEEE 802.3at or IEEE 802.3af standards. The cable length at both ends can be up to 100 meters, increasing the total distance between the PoE source and the device to 200 meters.
This PoE extender is designed for easy installation. To set it up, connect the "PoE In" port to your PoE injector or PoE switch and connect the "PoE Out" ports to the PoE devices you wish to connect, such as a VoIP phone and a PoE network camera.
