The Intellinet media converter integrates fiber optic cables into an existing copper cable network for a low-cost and low-effort LAN upgrade. It operates transparently – the performance and functionality remain unchanged, and the network is simply expanded to support both media – copper and fiber.

Greater range: With fiber optic support, even remote workgroups can be integrated into your network. Building-to-building connections are easily achievable without additional access points.

Many advantages with WDM technology: The WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology in this converter model uses only one fiber for data transmission and reception at separate wavelengths. This allows you to use more affordable simplex cables instead of duplex cables, saving on installation costs.

Flexibility in cabling: Due to its compact design, this converter can be used in desktop applications with limited space.
