Product details

Tu-144 "Charger"

The world's first supersonic passenger aircraft was the Tu-144. It was designed by the A.N. Tupolev Design Bureau. The prototype's first flight took place on December 31, 1968 (two months earlier than the British-French Concorde). Series production began in 1971. By 1977, a total of nine Tu-144 aircraft equipped with NK-144A engines had been built. This kit can be assembled in either ground or flight configurations. Two versions of decals are included.
