ICM Tu-2T, Soviet torpedo plane

The Tu-2T was a variant of the production bomber Tu-2, upgraded as a torpedo bomber for the Navy. This modification was developed and tested in the spring of 1945. It was equipped with special mounts that allowed for the deployment of two torpedoes of the type 45-36AN. The torpedoes could be used either sequentially or simultaneously for naval purposes. During a double torpedo salvo, a special device monitored the time interval between the release of the torpedoes (the torpedoes were dropped at intervals of 0.25 seconds). It was also possible to use the aircraft as a bomber, capable of carrying a bomb load of up to 3,000 kilograms. Alternatively, the Tu-2T could also be used for laying land mines.
