The HP HSR6800 Router Series is a portfolio of high-performance WAN routers, ideal for large data center and campus WAN networks. These routers feature a distributed multicore processing architecture, with a forwarding capacity of 420 million packets per second and a switching capacity of up to 2 Tbit/s. They provide stable routing (MPLS, IPv4, IPv6 dynamic routing, nested QoS), security (stateful firewall, IPsec/Dynamic VPN, DoS protection, NAT), comprehensive Layer 2 switching, traffic analysis, as well as high-density 10 GbE (and 40/100 GbE-capable) WAN interface options, all integrated into a single powerful routing platform. Additionally, the HSR6800 series routers are the industry's first service aggregation routers to support system virtualization by utilizing HP's innovative Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF) technology.
