Contacts are not silver plated and are unsuitable for use with low current DC applications. This is a basic bimetallic thermostat with a PPS Ryton housing and a steel end cap. The electrical terminals are parallel to the mounting surface, and it features a movable steel bracket for easy mounting and increased temperature tolerance. Normally closed types open on temperature rise, while normally open types close on temperature rise. It has a 1/4" spade terminal. Contacts are rated at 250 Vac, 10 A, with a maximum contact resistance of 50 mΩ. Dielectric strength is 2,000 Vac.
