The contacts are not silver plated and are not suitable for use with low current DC applications. This is a basic bimetal thermostat with a PPS Ryton housing and a steel end cap. The electrical connection terminals are parallel to the mounting surface, and it features a movable steel holder for easy mounting and increased temperature tolerance. Normally closed types open when the temperature rises, while normally open types close when the temperature rises. It has a 1/4" blade terminal. The contacts are designed for 250 Vac, 10 A, with a maximum contact resistance of 50 mΩ. Dielectric strength is 2,000 Vac.
