Setup can be done flexibly on the device itself, via the Homematic IP app (in conjunction with the Homematic IP Access Point), or through a browser-based interface (in conjunction with a CCU2 / CCU3 central unit). Alternatively, the smart thermostat can also be operated without a central unit: Stand-alone operation (Push-to-Pair) allows for the direct pairing of up to eight window and door contacts with magnets (HmIP-SWDM) to automatically lower the room temperature when ventilating. Through the app, the radiator thermostat can be integrated into a comprehensive Smart Home system. The cloud solution allows for temperature adjustments at any time from any location. For those who prefer to keep data locally within their home network but still want to benefit from the advantages of a Smart Home system, setup via the CCU2 / CCU3 central unit is available.
