In case of an alarm, you can initiate a variety of life-saving measures via the Homematic central unit, significantly enhancing the efficiency of the smoke detector. For example, it can trigger the lights to turn on throughout the house, unlock front doors to illuminate and clear escape routes, or send a notification to your mobile phone. This allows for all conceivable alarm pathways, including sending emails (via optional additional software).
