In 2019, Swiss Post committed to converting all of its operated vehicles to 100% electric by no later than 2030. The transition of the mail delivery vehicles has already been successfully completed, and approximately 6,000 electric three-wheeled scooters are now in operation in Switzerland. Around 400 parcel delivery vehicles are currently being replaced with CO2-neutral electric models. Naturally, this revolutionary strategic shift also extends to large trucks.

The Swiss company Futuricum, a specialist in the field of electromobility, is modifying 18 to 44-ton trucks based on the Volvo FH and FM models to enable emission-free transport in heavy goods traffic. Recently, the first vehicles have been approved for use by Swiss Post.
